Why Rotary Youth Exchange?

For over 75 years, students and host families have broadened their horizons through the Rotary Youth Exchange program. Each year, over 8,000 students from more than 80 countries participate in this enriching experience, which is managed at the regional level by Rotary Youth Exchange District 5050 and locally by Rotary clubs. These Rotary Youth Exchange students are celebrated worldwide as Global Ambassadors for their home countries, providing opportunities that extend well beyond a high school exchange year abroad. The dedicated volunteers from Rotary clubs administer the program at the local level, ensuring that costs remain low for students and their families. Many of these volunteers bring years of experience with host family Rotary youth exchange, short term youth exchange, and collaboration with fellow Rotarians involved in the Student Exchange Program in BC and Washington State.
